On Tuesday, December 1, Family Counseling Services and our Cortland Prevention Resources Division are excited to participate in our first #Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to giving. Several generous donors have issued a special giving challenge to our agency….

If 25 people make an online donation to our agency as part of #Giving Tuesday, we will receive an additional $1,500 gift from the two anonymous donors!

Never Heard of #Giving Tuesday?

#Giving Tuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and follows the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #Giving Tuesday was created to inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support. Last year, more than 30,000 organizations in 68 countries came together to celebrate #Giving Tuesday.

Help Get Out the Give!

The money we raise will support at-risk youth who participate in our Prevention and Mentoring Programs and provide free childcare in our Children’s Waiting Room for families receiving counseling services. Read two great stories about people using these programs…

We invite you to join the #Giving Tuesday movement and to help get out the give this December 1. Please share this message with your friends and family through email and social media and ask that they consider helping us meet the giving challenge.

Thank you for making a difference in the lives of individuals and families in our Central New York community.

Best wishes for the holiday season!
